How do I deactivate or delete my Brilliant account?
If you need a break or want to leave Brilliant, you can take the following steps to deactivate or delete your account:
Log in
Web: Visit brilliant.org and log in.
Mobile: Open the Brilliant app on iOS or Android and log in.
Navigate to the account settings page
Web: Click on the menu bar in the top-right corner and select "Settings."
Mobile: Tap the "You" icon on the right side of the bottom navigation bar, tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner, and select "Account"
(Optional) Export your data: If you’d like a copy of your progress and other data, click "Export your data" before proceeding.
Click "Deactivate or delete account”
Deactivate (reversible): Temporarily lock your account without losing data.
To reactivate, simply log back in.
Delete (irreversible): Permanently remove your account and all associated data.
Important Notes:
Deleting your Brilliant account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Please cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges.
For security reasons, we require that users complete these steps themselves while logged in. This serves as a verification measure—since deleting an account permanently erases all associated data (even from our end), we must ensure the request is being made by the rightful account owner. This prevents fraudulent deletion attempts via email or support requests.
