Student data privacy is extremely important to us. Teachers must agree to the Brilliant for Educators Terms of Use and Privacy Statement and consent to our processing of students’ personal information before creating a classroom. We also require teachers to provide our privacy statement to students’ parents/guardians and confirm that Brilliant for Educators can be used in compliance with all applicable policies in effect at their school.

As described in our Privacy Statement, we do not share, sell, or disclose any personal information of students, nor do we use it for marketing or other non-educational purposes. We also permit teachers, parents, and/or guardians to access, instruct us to delete, or direct us to stop collecting or using students’ personal information. With these policies and procedures in effect, teachers can use Brilliant for Educators in compliance with privacy laws affecting students’ personal information such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
