Why was my course updated?

At Brilliant, we believe learning is a lifelong journey — and there’s always more to explore. That's why we regularly refine and expand our courses, to help grow your knowledge and sharpen your problem-solving skills.

What kinds of updates do you make?

There are lots of ways we work to improve existing courses, including:

  • Adding new lessons to expand your understanding and keep you up-to-date on the latest innovations and ideas.

  • Adding more practice to ensure the concepts you learn stick and help you hone your skills.

  • Updated existing lessons with new or refined explanations, examples, visuals, or interactive problems.

What happened to my course progress?

Nothing! Your progress is safe no matter what course updates we make. You may see a course you've previously completed suddenly appear incomplete when we add new lessons or practice sets to a course. That’s just your signal that there’s now more to learn.

What if my course was updated, and then changed back?

Sometimes updates don’t go as planned. When this happens, we may temporarily show a previous version of a course while we fine-tune the update as quickly as possible.
